Before downloading MediaWiki, make sure you

• Understand what it is (and isn't) capable of.
• Check the system requirements.

	Latest Version Should be used for all new installations	Download v1.12.0
Users of PHP 4.x PHP 5 support has been required since MediaWiki 1.7 - if you are using an older version of PHP and cannot upgrade then you should use MediaWiki 1.6.10.		Download v1.6.10
Users of MySQL 3.x MySQL 4 support has been required since MediaWiki 1.6 - if you are using an older version of MySQL and cannot upgrade then you should use MediaWiki 1.5.8. Note that this version is no longer supported.		Download v1.5.8
