Re: Tłumaczenie

Cześć. No widzisz, do głowy mi by nie przyszło, że w edytorze będzie A i A, więc nawet nie sprawdziłem. Kto te A w ogóle wymyślił. Będę czujny :) Pozdrawiam, Chrumps (talk) 00:24, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Importing VE pages

Hi Tar,

Thanks for your note. I am glad that I've found you. It sounds like you do a lot of things like this, so I'm going to tell some of the other WMF staff people to keep you in mind, too.

I'm looking into the import issue. It seems that we need to add mediawiki.org to the import sources on plwiki, so that it appears in the drop-down menu of transwiki sources at https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specjalna:Import Do admins at pl.wikipedia have the import right (that's common), or is it handled separately for that wiki?

But for the VisualEditor help pages, I don't think it's necessary. The information at VisualEditor/Portal/Localization#Copying_documents_to_other_wikis says that it can be just copied and pasted from one browser window to another. This is because it's public domain, so there is no legal requirement to preserve attribution. (Of course, you might want to, even though it's not strictly necessary, in which case it would need to be imported like you were saying.)

I look forward to hearing from you when you are back online again next week. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 16:43, 12 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Urgent small translation

Hi Tar,

I'm so glad that you're back. The latest list for the Phase 2 group includes the Polish Wikipedia. This means that it would be turned on in one week, rather than two. I'm checking to make sure that this is not a mistake (it previously said PT, not PL, and it would be an easy typo), but just in case, can you please go to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Translate?filter=&action=translate&group=Centralnotice-tgroup-VisualEditor_deployment&language=pl and do these translations? It's very short. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:16, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! And I have just been told that the Polish Wikipedia is definitely on the list for this coming Monday, so that banner will appear on the Polish Wikipedia today.
If you have ideas about how to make sure that everyone knows about this—it's quite a big change, especially for the first few days, when people have to get used to choosing between "edit" and "edit source"—please share the news. One banner is really not enough for such a large and active group, I think. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:41, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Progress

I thought you might like to see the report at VisualEditor/TranslationCentral#Progress: The Polish Wikipedia seems to be one of the translation "winners". Everything's in the green zone and several of them are at 100%. Thanks for your significant contribution to this. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 17:41, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
