@Qgil-WMF I like the proposal by and large. Two minor questions/comments:

  • The “as requested here” link doesn't seem to provide me with the original conversation.
  • What does “SEARCH” refer to here? A link or a user-interface element?

Hi @Volker E. (WMF), I had almost forgotten about this. I am glad you like it. The link... I have tried to find the original conversation using different methods but I cannot find it. This proposal is using the markup that MediaWiki:Sidebar takes, and therefore "SEARCH" would bring the search box (unless the skin used places it somewhere else, I believe).
