Request for translation

The page is already translated? I checked the translation and changed some minor things. What I've noticed and couldn't correct:

  • Link to FAQ doesn't go to the german version
  • in some links I added the hint, that the follow-up page is english, though I did not check every link.
  • The online-Meeting seems to be a bit far in the future
  • The signature is not properly translated especially necessary for the "...feel free to start a conversation with the community and contact me."-Part

Regards, HirnSpuk

I would've appreciated a more sincere apology. I invested time for this and just getting an: "Oh, I'm sorry..."? I translated the other site and find the invitation to the online-meeting a bit short notice (which was the reason to do it actually)!

The points:

  • I did not check every link for a language hint
  • the signature is not properly translated

still are a problem.

I once said, I'm impressed with your work. I apologize, I can't say the same this time. I'd kindly ask for more time and more attention to detail next time, thanks. Regards HirnSpuk

I read your comment twice. You're right, I understand. My apologies. Next time, I'll inform you with a longer notice.

What do you mean by "the signature is not properly translated", exactly? Is it possible to fix this problem by translating this part using different words, or should I change something in the English version?

Thanks a lot.

Regarding the signature, I wasn't aware, that you were going to use it just as a template. The entry shows up well in german wikibooks. I thought the page will be used stand-alone, then the signature would have been missing. But obviously that's not the problem I thought it would :-).

To the other thing... Maybe the time-constraint wasn't on your hand? And reading "(WMF)" always looks like "paid", does it really mean that? So I felt a little upset by feeling forced to use my (free) time, to solve your (paid, as I assumed) problem. But I must admit, that is nothing more than an assumption on my behalf, that I shouldn't feel free to make. I apologize for that. If you'd like and find the time, please be invited to explain more to me. Sometimes I find the wikimedia-structure highly confusing, not knowing who does what, when and why. This might lead to this kind of misunderstandings.
