This documentation page is for the phonetic layout Sarjom baha for writing Ol Chiki (ᱚᱞ ᱪᱤᱠᱤ) script. Ol Chiki (also known as Ol Cemetʼ or Santali script) is used to write the Santali language.

Etymology

Sarjom baha (flower of Shorea robusta or śāl) is used by the Santals for their first and major cultural celebration in the month of phagun. In the celebration under a śāl tree, the flower is offered and then santals wear the flower, cook and eat it. The name was suggested by Damayanti Beshra, Advisor, All India Santal Semled (AISS), and lecturer, MPC College, Baripada, Odisha, India.
