See Extension:TitleBlacklist for technical information and meta:Title blacklist for Wikimedia's global blacklist.

Update *.php rules for Autoconfirmed users

Please allow autoconfirmed for the following pattern,

.*index\.php.* # anti-spambot

Please change it to,

.*index\.php.* <autoconfirmed|noedit> # anti-spambot

since I need to create the page Manual:UpdateSearchIndex.php --Ans 09:41, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Titleblacklist not working here?

I wanted to test Extension:TitleBlacklist behavior on a wiki that doesn't use Extension:E3Experiments. So based on the contents of mediawiki.org's Titleblacklist, I tried to create an account named "Paydayloans test test bug 42982"... and it succeeded, no blacklist error!

I tried again with another name from mediawiki.org's Titleblacklist, "Bsadowski1isntmyusername test bug 42982". That also worked!

I don't want to create accounts, I want to see Titleblacklist rejecting. But it seems it's not working right here. Maybe mediawiki.org is configured to look at the master list on http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Title_blacklist ? Meanwhile, if there's a name that will definitely be rejected due to Titleblacklist, let me know, thanks. -- S Page (WMF) (talk) 09:08, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

SUL login with cyrillic usernamens fails

Please note the following thread: https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Project:Current_issues&offset=20141211140011#x.5B.5BMediaWiki:Titleblacklist.5D.5D_51406

I have commented out the rule in this revision. I don't know enough about this function to really check, what needs to be changed to re-enable this rule without preventing all cyrillic usernamens from logging in, so can someone check this? Google misspelling pattern matching wrong for Talk: pages

The current pattern is preventing me from creating a discussion talk page on Google Code-in/2017.

Please change it to the following one which would except titles starting with "Talk:",

^(?!Talk:).*g+(o+)g+le?\S?.*

which would allow me to open a new topic about wrap-up blog posts. --Divadsn (talk) 10:43, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Something like .*g+(o+)g+le\s(?!Summer_of_Code\/\d{4})|(?!Code-in\/\d{4}) maybe, to allow yearly subpages of "Google Summer of Code" and "Google Code-in". That regex is wrong though; someone who has more knowledge of regexes is welcome to help. --AKlapper (WMF) (talk) 09:49, 14 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I've changed the regex so this should be okay now. Does that look right to you guys? --Krenair (talkcontribs) 11:52, 14 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Adding such exceptions to MediaWiki:Titlewhitelist would make more sense. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 09:59, 20 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

hi all I trapped in 'The title "Translations:Extension:GoogleLogin/Page display title/fr" has been banned from creation. It matches the following blacklist entry: " .*g+(o+)g+le?\S?((?!Summer of Code\/\d{4})|(?!Code-in\/\d{4})).*"

while trying to translate https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:GoogleLogin at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Extension%3AGoogleLogin&language=fr&action=page&filter=

Discussion : https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Topic:V2za6k6gxxt5wskv

FR translation cannot start and should be allowed.

I've added an exception to MediaWiki:Titlewhitelist. Please confirm that it works as expected. Mainframe98 talk 21:38, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to add "Breast" or "B**bs"

Hello. I propose of an addition of the following names:

  • Breast.*
  • B[0õ]obs.*

Can you add these please? --Fragguni9989 (talk) 02:17, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Fragguni9989 Are these currently being mis-used on this wiki? P858snake (talk) 08:19, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@User:P858snake Example here. Fragguni9989 (talk) 00:39, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Adding items to the blacklist here will not have an effect on Wikipedia. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 01:02, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
