hi please could someone unlock this https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/admin/projects/mediawiki/extensions/DataTypes please.
Extension talk:DataTypes/Flow
Now the question is: why? :) The project owner has already the possibility to edit these fields, if necessary.
Oh because it is on github why need to lock it.
Ähm, i think you missunderstand this site :) That are project settings, you can find the git repository here:
https://git.wikimedia.org/summary/mediawiki%2Fextensions%2FDataTypes
Gerrit is for code review, so everyone (who has a free account with developer access) can submit code, which can reviewed and discussed before it will merged into the repository. The github repository is a reflexion of the gerrit repository :)
Hope this is much clearer now and that is what you want to know :) If not, please ask :P Or clarify, what you want to edit on project settings page :)
Hi I tried uploading some changes but said the branch is read only mode.
I think you tried uploading directly to github, yes? Then it's right, the branches there are readonly. To commit code, you must commit the code to gerrit, so it can be reviewed from other developers. After the review was successful (maybe after a new patchset) the code will be merged automatically to github :)
See:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Gerrit
And as a tutorial, how to use gerrit:

Welcome on board! :)
Nope I tried uploading the change to gerrit.
Oh, sorry, my fault, you're right, the project is readonly :/ I don't know why and i fon'twhere to ask, except wikitech-l mailing list, maybe someone other know more :)
If you tried uploading to Gerrit, I'd love to know the exact commands you used and the exact error message. As an alternative to Gerrit, you could use http://tools.wmflabs.org/gerrit-patch-uploader/ instead.
Andre, the project state is read-only, so all push's/review's will fail, or not?
https://review.gerrithub.io/Documentation/project-configuration.html#project-state
Hmm. Probably true. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:DataTypes could mention that though, sigh.
Hmm, i move this to the talk page of the Extension, there it's better in my opinion (moved from Project:Support_desk)
Still wondering if creating a merge request on Github would work, and if the original reporter here has tried that already.
The extension page clearly states the thing is on GitHub no?
The repo on Gerrit should probably be deleted.
I have just updated the extension's page to make it even more obvious to see where the action is happening developmentwise
Are there some pages on Wikipedia that require this extension in order for the content to be rendered? Some more details on what it's used for would be appreciated. Thanks.
This is a PHP library used by the Wikibase software (which powers the Wikidata project). The library does not expose user visible functionality on its own.
