Extension talk:SearchStats

Just installed this extension on Mediawiki v.1.31.1 on my own wiki!

And omigod is it ever useful!!

The only question I really have is whether it would be possible to extend the list to, say, the 25 Most Recent and Top 25 searches?

@IcarusATB that seems like a fair idea. It shouldn't be a problem technically since all the data should be in the table. Perhaps when we update the compatibility with the newer wiki we could see about adding something like that in.

I actually managed to find the tidbit of code to change the number of displayed stats to the Top25 searches and the Top100 most recent non-found searches, which helps us design a better wiki by knowing what people are looking for. It would be amazing if there were options to change that directly in the extension. I imagine some folks wouldn't really know where to start with that.

What is the process to get access to the media wiki git repository so that I can push my code there?

Figured it out. I needed to submit a request to Git/New repositories/Requests/Entries
