Scrum of Scrum items
[edit]- https://mingle.corp.wikimedia.org/projects/scrum_of_scrums/cards?favorite_id=1099&view=Wall
- https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55709 “texvc failure due to missing MW cgroup”
- Aaron will review the changeset
OAuth/OpenID
[edit]- Only documentation stuff left (bug 56021, and Extension:OAuth in general), then should meet UX’s requirements
- Add mw.org help link to grants management page and clean up language there (maybe simplify the revoke form)
Search
[edit]- The great catastrophe
- --rebuild passed to reindexing script would : 1) delete current index 2) build index. => downtime \O/
- For some reason still didn’t see all the wikis so built them today
- Chad on interwiki search
- Nik on job queue and fallout from catastrophe and various bugs
- Andrew Otto looking at Ganglia (the numbers are lying)
- Some machines coming but not space for all
Performance
[edit]- Graphite module coming along. Draft in Gerrit (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/92271/). Positive response from Faidon. Still a lot left to do.
- localStorage patch has +1s from Roan and Timo; someone needs to pull the trigger. I’ll poke Roan today.
- bawolff’s patch has comments from Tim, Aaron & Niklas; I need to suck it up and spend some quality time making sure I grok it and then see it through to getting merged.
- Annoying curl_multi issue fixed in SwiftCloudFiles...thumbnail purges are much faster now
DevOps... er Deployments Sprint
[edit]- See backlog: https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/DevOpsBacklog
- First standup: https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/p/DevOpsStandUps
RFCs and Architecture Summit
[edit]- Selection committee meeting last week
HHVM
[edit]- Invite sent for triage session on Wednesday, but the time might have to change.
- The goal of this meeting is to produce a list of all TODOs for HHVM, and to identify and prioritize items that would unblock contributions from the rest of engineering and the developer community at large. I'd consider it
successful if we end up with a page on MediaWiki.org or Wikitech that is effective at eliciting contributions from interested parties.
- If you’re interested and didn’t get an invite, let Ori or Chad know and they’ll add you
Bug Escalation
