Language Workshop - Barcelona 2019
[edit]A general interest workshop about language support within Wikimedia projects to share knowledge about translation, language related tools, language promotion, and collaboration opportunities. The one day local event will be co-hosted by Amical Wikimedia, and WMF Language team.
Objective
[edit]Amical Wikimedia and WMF Language team have collaborated on several language related Wikimedia projects, including the Content Translation tool. During this one day workshop, WMF Language team members, relevant members from Amical Wikimedia members and other local Wikimedians who have participated or are interested in Wikimedia language projects will come together for some focused conversations and collaboration work related mainly to the following topics:
- Content Translation
- Global Templates & Multilingual Templates
- Language auto-correction
- Lexicographical data
- Language promotion
