HI!

Sorry if distarb, but realy wont know about this.

w:Wikipedia:Drafts:"Editors may instead choose to create draft pages in their userspace, or new articles directly in mainspace after the user has become autoconfirmed or confirmed. This namespace was created, and the current process established, in December 2013."

I never see before abilty place transleted articles in othe place - only Maine end User Namespaces.

With respect, Всевидяче Око

Essentially, there are two places for draft articles on English Wikipedia. The first place is in your userspace, e.g. w:User:Sdkb/Foobar. These are private drafts. The second is in the draft namespace, e.g. w:Draft:Foobar. These are communal drafts, meaning multiple editors can theoretically work on them (although in practice that's rare). At the other thread, I'm seeking to add an option to publish translations in the draft namespace, i.e. as communal drafts. I hope that helps explain. Cheers,

U Khaing Zaw Heain Is there a particular reason you're giving me this? (I'm not an admin on MediaWiki.)

Hi @Whatamidoing (WMF); thanks for the links! I gather raising the priority at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T42763 wasn't the right course of action. Is it also not typically helpful to flag instances where requests for stale tasks have come up on Wikipedia, or is that something that can be useful? I appreciate your guidance.

The way I usually do that (because it can be helpful) is to post a comment in the Phab task that says something like "This was requested at [permalink] by @TechEditor". It's particularly helpful to add links to discussions that have specific descriptions of what's needed or what problems need to be solved. It's less helpful when the discussion is routine/boring/vague (but I still sometimes do it if there's been no activity on the Phab task for a very long time).

It's also very helpful to add links to Phab tasks on wiki. If you know (or can quickly find) a Phab task for what someone's asking, then posting a link on wiki helps tie the two conversations together for everyone.
