Well-done tutorial

[edit]

I just want to say, the tutorial at Git/Tutorial is very well-done, helpful and appreciated. Thanks for the role you played in creating it. Leucosticte (talk) 11:25, 4 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Needless to say, I agree (it worked even for me). However, there are some problems with the images: fair use is not trivially allowed on this wiki, although one might consider that consensus on that draft policy is enough, so I kindly ask you to replace them with cropped versions which don't contain any unfree software element. The page will also look more neutral and "interoperable", those unfree elements are its only defects. In 7 days from now, the images might be deleted if not fixed. Thanks, Nemo 16:41, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Project:Image policy says about screenshots: "However, those are just guidelines. It is assumed that all on-topic screenshots may be used on this site." It looks like by adding non-free use rationales to these images they'd be consistent with policy as currently stated, although of course it'd be ideal to crop.--Eloquence (talk) 19:54, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry Eloquence you are mistaken. That is not a policy but a proposal. Snowolf How can I help? 20:57, 16 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
