Help for fixing errors on german template extension/de

[edit]

Hello Helder.wiki, nice to meet you. I'm here to fix German translation work, and minor errors on various pages. It don't works on the German original, the function of bugzilla is not correct, all links shouldn't be shown in the info box - how it works with the English original template, unfortunately it does not with the German. Could you help and because maybe ask you to fix the problem? I hope you can understand me, thank you in advance.

Template:Extension code in wiki

[edit]

Hi. About your last reverts, are you sure of them? Because I've tried to check better the site of your comment but it gives back an invalid parameter.--Frigotoni ...i'm here; 12:07, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, because all the extensions are in git (see Math, Gadgets, ArticleFeedback, FlaggedRevs and LiquidThreads).

MW version timeline

[edit]

Heiya Helder, I was that enthusiastic about your template that I imported it to this wiki and added it to this page. I hope you do not mind. Cheers --kgh (talk) 20:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Great! Helder 20:40, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Thank you to you for further improving the template. Cheers --kgh (talk) 20:44, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Heiya Helder, may you please provide the hex for the red used to identify the obsolete versions on this template. Somehow I cannot manage to convert the rgb to it. O_o Thank you and cheers --kgh (talk) 15:29, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean the rgb(0.98,0.5,0.44)? I noticed Wolfram Alpha provides the other representations for this color, including its hexadecimal form, which is #FA8070. Helder 17:10, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
Cool, thank you. This was the one. Google just returned some not useful stuff. I have not thought of WolframAlpha though it is one of the search engines I bookmarked. Ijust used to make the page Version lifecycle consistent with the timeline. :) Cheers --kgh (talk) 19:07, 4 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

EnhancedUndelete

[edit]

Hey there, Helder.wiki. To follow up on what you said at simple_wp regarding this particular "gadget" being obsolete... does this mean that it is okay to delete the interface script page? Osiris (talk) 10:39, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think so, unless it is relevant to keep the history of the page (which in this case is only one edit). Helder 11:16, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I don't think so. It was copied from elsewhere anyway, so the history isn't important. Thanks, Helder! :) Osiris (talk) 13:27, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Manual:$wgDefaultUserOptions

[edit]

Would it be possible to use MW version rather than removing outdated information entirely, or do you think the page would get too messy? --Nemo 17:10, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It seems good idea to keep the information about the older versions, but maybe this will require an "inline" version of the template to reduce the amount of space used. Helder 18:33, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
Since could be adjusted/redirected to serve also as Until , maybe. --Nemo 18:36, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

"E-mail me also for minor edits of pages"

[edit]

Hello, I'm trying to understand when this option disappeared from Special:Preferences: I always assumed it was there in the wikis where I'm most active in, now I don't know how many notifications I may have lost. Manual:$wgEnotifMinorEdits is set to false since a long time on our wikis, however your comment bugzilla:16410#c2 confirms the preference was available as of 2010-11-23 and the next comment shows default was false as of 2011-01-20. I'm completely confused. --Nemo 13:35, 18 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

That is all I known, unfortunately. Helder 14:32, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Translation administrator

[edit]

You now have translation administrator rights. I know this wasn't in your request but I'd quite appreciate it if you could look through Category:Candidates for speedy deletion at some point, which has a bunch of entries needing the attention of a translation admin (normal admins can't do them). --Krenair (talk • contribs) 03:29, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Krenair: This is weird... I don't see an option to delete these pages either (e.g. Translations:Customization/1/hi). Do we need both group of permissions to delete them? Helder.wiki 15:50, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Sysop and only sysop is required to delete translation units, though a dummy edit is currently required to update any translation page containing them; any editor can overwrite existing translations; and sysop+t.adm. is needed only for the deletion of translation pages (with all their related pages). --Nemo 15:55, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Nemo bis: So, in the example above, the log says the page was deleted by FuzzyBot. Was this triggered by some action (the dummy edit you've mentioned)? Helder.wiki 18:17, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
In that case there were no translations so I deleted the whole translation page with all its translation units, but it's not necessary for single units; sysops can handle those. --Nemo 20:55, 8 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thumbnail style update

[edit]

I don't care how you fix it, but please fix it so that code is presented as it should. Keep the code out of the translation tags; it doesn't need to be translated anyway. -- User:Edokter talk 13:15, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Edokter: I requested a fix on bugzilla:68451. Helder.wiki 17:10, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Template:Interwiki_redirect

[edit]

You made some changes to this template in July, so .. umm .. maybe you know what is going wrong with it - see User:Supaiku and User:Kudpung, which for me displays as

<translate>
Interwiki redirect</translate>
<translate>

This page can be found at en:User:Kudpung.</translate>

A bug somewhere... John Vandenberg (talk) 11:29, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

The latest version which does not presents that problem is the one from 19:28, 2 January 2013 (but that is not translatable). Helder 12:01, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
The current version works if is called like this: . Helder 12:03, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
But that isnt how people call it :/ I've yet to understand TNTN; it didnt work for me when I played with it yesterday.
Wikimedia Commons seems to have solved this, as c:Template:Interwiki redirect appears on c:User:GeorgeStepanek in the users preferred language. John Vandenberg (talk) 12:09, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Starting conversion of LiquidThreads to Flow at mediawiki.org

[edit]

(Hi He7d3r. I know that you already know, so I'm just adding this here for completism, and for any of your page-watchers. :)

Hello. I'm sending this to you, because you've been one of the top 50 users of LQT on mediawiki.org over the last 360 days,[1] and I wanted to make sure that you'd seen the announcement at Starting conversion of LiquidThreads to Flow at mediawiki.org. There are links in the topic-summary at the top, for other discussions (wikitech-l and Project:Current_issues), and a link to the planned process and timeline (scheduled to begin April 6, with smaller conversions at first). Please do test Flow out at Talk:Sandbox if you haven't tried it recently, and give any feedback/suggestions/requests at that main discussion location. Much thanks, Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 00:04, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Translation check

[edit]

Can you tell me if this message was generally a reasonable translation? I don't know enough to judge it myself. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 23:04, 9 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi!
@Whatamidoing (WMF): I replaced the Italian version with the Portuguese versions which was posted to ptwiki earlier. Helder 11:43, 10 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
Aargh, a copy-paste problem! I should have paid more attention. Thanks for letting me know. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 17:25, 10 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

en:User:Js/urldecoder.js

[edit]

Hello He7d3r. Can you point me in the right direction? I was going to ask User:TheDJ for ideas, but then I noticed that you made the last edit on this Javascript file. In your edit summary you link to a Phab, and you mention updateTooltipAccessKeys. Is there any reason why the script should work so erratically? On Chrome it only succeeds about half the time in placing its menu button on the edit window. I had been thinking that maybe it wasn't migrated, but it looks like your work should have done the migration. Thanks for any advice, EdJohnston (talk) 20:30, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Possibly related to Extension talk:WikiEditor/Toolbar customization#Custom buttons don't always show up in the editor window. Helder 13:30, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
