Translate quicklinks

Hi, some links you should go through to get started with Translate and familiarise with it a bit in order to understand what we're talking about.

• Special:Preferences (set your native language, not English)
• Special:MyLanguage/Help:Extension:Translate/Translation_example (how to translate)
• Special:LanguageStats (see translation stats and translate one page, for instance VisualEditor help)
• Project:Language policy/Migration list (how we migrate old page to the translation system; try and migrate one page following instructions).

Help:Special pages preparation

Thanks for the start. Let me note that full docs are at Help:Extension:Translate/Page translation administration; I'll just mention the things that need fixing, you'll find the details in the manual.

• <languages/> must be added at top instead of {{languages}}.
• Needs empty line after each header.
• Translatable templates must be called via {{TNT }}.
• Category must be inserted with {{Langcat}}.
• Each and every link must use Special:MyLanguage syntax/prefix.
• Quotations of interface elements should include the message in question directly via the int magic word, for instance in this case «Clicking the link Special:Specialpages» has in italics a link label that depends on user language. You can use, for instance, the qqx trick to find the message name.

Almost everyone makes these mistakes, don't worry. :) Read the whole manual and/or check all these points for the next time you ask a page to be marked for translation. --Nemo 13:32, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Milestone today. :) To get done today:

1. tell Extension talk:Translate/Mass_migration_tools and mailing list(s) to test the feature here on mediawiki.org as soon as 1.24wmf8 is live here (around 18 UTC);
2. add i18n etc. to the hover text patch and continue any other task. :)
