In case anyone else is looking for a selector to add because their breadcrumbs disappear in Vector (2022), I found this to work pretty well:

   $wgJSBreadCrumbsCSSSelectorHorizontal = [
     'vector-2022' => '#mw-content-subtitle'
   ];
