Hello Shirayuki, thank you for your help with translation tags. You've changed my tagging and I would like to understand what was considered as wrong?

I checked the diff and I cannot see what is wrong. What I see is you add more "translate" tags but from my experience the software is able to determine itself the translation units when there are two new lines. Am I wrong?

In places where line breaks do not cause issues, break the sentences and enclose each one with tags. Refer to other pages as examples.

You mean one has to add translate tags for each sentence? Translating a few sentences as a single block is not a good practice here?

  • MediaWiki.org pages are frequently updated, and shorter translation units are less susceptible to changes. Longer translation units can lead to the invalidation of entire translations.
  • The shorter the translation units, the higher the probability of translation.
  • Making translation units one sentence long and simplifying will make the translation memory work effectively.
