Hello, as it is with many proposals to improve the look and feel of the Wikipedia interface, some people like it, others don't care and then again others absolutely hate it. What to do? Wouldn't it be better in general to give the readers and collaborators more options for customization?

I suppose I've no objections as long as it's easy to opt out. However, I'm concerned that such developments divert the WMF's limited IT resources from the many stalled Phabricator tickets which represent fixes and minor enhancements that the communities actually want and have asked for.
