Hi, can please anybody help how to prevent los of written content? Thank you

The content written to citation is repeatedly removed after reopening of a partially done work and it would be a pleasure to find out how to write the translation not to let it happen any more. Thank you for your understanding and help. Many thanks ahead

Hello Miroslav Ličko,

Sorry about the issue you are having, please can you provide more details of the following:

  • Which article were you translating and to which language
  • Which browser did you use (Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc.)
  • If possible, a screenshot of the addition to the citation and afterwards.

Providing these details will help in identifying the problem and working towards solving it.

Thank you!

Hello @UOzurumba (WMF),

Please accept my thank you for the tool, for your interest in help with further improvement.

- article - original is en:Halcyon Days (book)

- target cs Czech

In case you have an access: Přeložit stránku – Wikipedie (wikipedia.org)

It happens in other articles as well.

- browser - Microsoft Edge Version 94.0.992.50 (Official build) (64-bit)

- same behavior is FF 93.0 (64-bit)

- video showing errors - CtrlV.tv | Fastest screen record online

I prepared it on advice of @Martin Urbanec yesterday and shared. If you can get in touch and make sure if anybody else has started to work on it already. Thank you.

The First error relates at least to Czech template: Infobox - kniha.

The other two errors relate to tags <references /> and

<ref> with Czech template inside: Citace elektronické monografie in the case shown.

Please accept my thank you for your help

E.g. another translation Přeložit stránku – Wikipedie (wikipedia.org)

From Czech translation of en:Joe Armstrong (programmer) the Czech equivalent ofInfobox person disappeared completely.

It would be probably useful to have a possibility to export a translation in source form and keep it locally. It can serve at least as a backup and source for copy and past when anything happens.

Possibly to have an import and compare function as well.

Hi @UOzurumba (WMF), another related recording CtrlV.tv | Fastest screen record online showing further bug. It relates to ESC key press while filling Czech template Překlad (English Translation).

Before going there already reported bug is shown on Czech template Infobox - sídlo světa.

As you can see the Přidat více údajů (English Add more data) part is not kept.

The second part of the video shows serious bug in template Translation. It can get frozen in some cases and only reload of the page helps.

But reload leads to the loss of filled data in another prefilled templates as e.g. in the first step shown.

Please accept my thank you for dealing with

Hi @UOzurumba (WMF), another difficulty with template found just now.

Paragraph "Volksrepublik China" in article "de:Bezirk" stops translation at "templatestyle", resp. ".mw-parser-output .Hani{font-size:110%}". Target language was Czech. Thank you for considering a fix possibilities.

FYI @Martin Urbanec
