One remaining problem I have to solve: can I automatically remove wiki markup before providing it as description?
As I use several levels of templates on some pages to automatically provide the description text in many situations, this often leads to situations where the description contains wiki-formatting (mostly links, but also others). This, however, results in e.g. brackets to land in the description, and at least Google accepts that and displays brackets in the search results.
I have looked through Templates, Parser functions, magic words, etc, but have found no possibility to do that (a function that transforms an input wiki-text to plain text, or at least formatted html code).
