There otta be . . .

Since I spend the majority of my time on en.wikipedia, I didn't see the product of your work until today. Your bot notified me of a picture that was nominated for deletion. You proved what I have said for a long time SHOULD exist, can and does exits.

I will urge expansion of this technology. Templates and categories are constantly being nominated for deletion in the darkness of a rarely traveled back section. Your bot can shed light on that secrecy by notifying the talk page of each effected transclusion of the vulnerable category or template. It may not make those areas popular, but at least interested parties will have a little better chance to comment before rather than after the consensus of one or two is achieved. ~~~~

@TrackinfoYou're the first person to give us feedback on this feature. I'm so glad to know someone found it useful. Thank you for your comment.

This project was completed because it was nominated for the annual Community Wishlist surveylast year. If you'd like us to extend that project to include templates and categories, please do propose it as a project for the next year's survey (this November). :)

If you'd like to receive occasional notifications about other projects we built from the wishlist survey and receive a reminder ahead of the next survey you can also subscribe to our team newsletter - Newsletter:The Community Tech Newsletter

Subscribe done. Seeing 2017 dates on your bot, I'm surprised I haven't seen the bot's activity previously. Of course, I only watch a little over 13,000 page. Am I overwhelmed or are you just ramping up? I try to pay attention and be informed. Far too often, I'm surprised and consensus was already declared. I hope your bot can help.~~~~

I assume your technology is available to other projects. I would love to see it spread.~~~~

@Trackinfo We're working on getting the bot ready to be translated so it can post notices about commons image deletions on other wikis too. I'll send out a notice on the newsletter when we're ready to accept translations. The bot is active since a while but does multiple tasks. The one you found out is indeed very recent. See the proposal page to get a sense of how the survey works.

Thanks @Doc James! :)
