Like some comment provided, the filter by namespace requires several clicks or types before I can get to it (Advanced filter > Namespace). Why can't this filter by namespace be made default as with other filters made default?

Have all filters on the same list would create a very long list, hard to read.
Some shortcuts exist, and require the same number of clicks:
- if you are not in the dropdown menu and want to find a namespace filter, click on the shortcut buttons, located on the right (on a left-to-right wiki)
- type
:
in the search bar.
I agree with IP here... the button to access the spacename filters is in the bottom of the filter's list... it should be on top, to allow easy access instead of long scrolling through options already set - same for "modifications marquées" (not sure the text in english)
Those were standard checkboxes in classic screen, now you have to be a expert to find them... ;)

Or you just need to read the manual. Although it is understandable that most users won't immediately notice them because they don't look like buttons nor are they highlighted when the related dropdown is active.
Sorry, I never understood that those buttons were to set the filters : from the pop up text on them (in fr), I assumed they directly sent to the result of those specific filters, not that they allowed to set them...
By the way, having to RTFM to find something that was just obvious before, IS a problem, especially to people who have used the wiki for years, as admins or patrollers... ;D

Good to know.

As a volunteer, I work with newcomers and I reply to technical questions for experienced users. My experience tells me no interface on the wikis is natively fully understandable. There is always two aspects:
- the easy to reach and understand features (example: you have been able to find the namespace filters in X clicks)
- the more advanced features that are easier to reach after some experience, or because someone shared a tweak, or because someone has RTFM (example: the shortcuts we are discussing).
We do our very best to make #1 working for most cases. This is why we do some user testing (we desperately look for volunteers, please sign-up!) on the interface prototype and we used the results to improve the interface.
Hi, while I try to understand the feature which, so far, received mixed reception, "Advanced Filters" for namespace should not be hidden like in screenshot by default. The filter available from the outset is the "Show X amount of edit" and "Within X hours/days". Namespace accessibility requires clicking at "Advanced Filter", which, to me, seems unnecessary as it can be integrated similarly to how the two above are in place.
