What cat? (talkcontribs)

Sometimes, I'll load the Recent Changes page, and start looking, but by the time I've found an edit, the filters will load, which causes the changes to reload, which means I have to scroll down or go to the second page. This is fairly annoying.

Is there any way to fix this? The JS could load faster, or perhaps it could check the max edit ID on the page and load changes starting from there, or etc, etc.

I've reported your problem, to have it investigated. A possible solution would be not to display the first list of results, but only the one when everything has loaded.

My issue with that is that everything takes quite a few seconds to load, I'd prefer to have a list that gets updated instead of no clue for about 4 seconds while it loads.

I'm confused. On your first feedback, you say the scroll (or go to another page) is annoying. And on your second feedback, you say that the list update is fine. What is your preference?

There is always a loading time, when you change any element. There is a small loading time when I use the default RC page and filter a namespace or change the number of edits displayed. I admit it goes quicker than with the Beta. I'll ask for performance.

I have some questions for you from the developers: un the case you report, do you use the bookmarks to save a set of filters? If so, which filters are in your set?

Also, the new filters provide much more functionalities than the old ones. JavaScript is used to ease those enhanced filters handling. This is why there is a more important loading time.
