Hovercards conflict with Cat-a-lot gadget (at least in cawiki). When I click "cat-a-lot" to activate it, hovercards keep showing the same article all the time. I think some time ago the same issue happened with pop-ups gadget.
It's a pity that Cat-a-lot and Hovercards can't work properly together because it would ease categorizing.
It took me a long time to figure out what you meant! It seems the Cat-a-lot tool only appears in the gadgets menu if our account has the autopatrol user-right (per ca:MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition).
Where at cawiki would I request temporary autopatrol-status, so that I can test/understand/screenshot this gadget? (Catalan doesn't have a page listed at d:Q5453037 "WP:Requests for permissions")
Or, alternatively, would you be able to file a task for this at Phabricator? It probably just needs a screenshot or 2, showing what should happen (without Hovercards), versus what does happen (with Hovercards), displaying the problem encountered.
