Reading variables from the page in Extension:CiteThisPage

When one uses CiteThisPage in a place like WikiSource which contains say content from the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography - there is no way to make the CiteThisPage output reflect the actual author and publisher (and instead it says author "Wikisource authors" etc.). Would it be possible for it to be extended so that it reads certain predefined template variables in the page and allow customized output.

I too would like to know where and how I can amend the 'Author' and 'Publisher' fields please?

Agreed! A single-user private wiki does not have Project contributors, but should list the author's name instead. Nicole Sharp (talk) 12:26, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
