Topic on Project:Support desk

Hi! Help:Magic words#URL_data lists the "|QUERY", "|WIKI" and "|PATH" options. Some years before I used "encodeURIComponent(foo)". Just spent some hours to generate properly urlencoded links at #JavaScript_hints using all three methods. Some suggestions:

1. the documentation should reference to build in MediaWiki functions
2. http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/phase3/includes/parser/CoreParserFunctions.php?view=markup should be refferenced at Help:Magic words#URL_data; I spend a lot of time to identify that page
