Turning off the Feedback widget

I'm having trouble turning this thing off on Wikipedia (it won't go away). Other people are having trouble replicating my trouble (it doesn't show when they turn it off). To save a long post here, could anyone interested please look at w:en:Wikipedia_talk:Article_Feedback_Tool#Turning_off which gives plenty of detail about my situation and Preferences, and comments from those trying to help. Thanks. Peridon 19:43, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Doesn't look as if anyone is interested. The thing is still appearing even though my account's database entry for this is " articlefeedback-disable | 1 ", or so I have been told by someone who seems to know these things. I would appreciate some feedback, even if only to say that someone is actually looking into this problem. Perhaps If I were complaining that I was keen to use it, and couldn't see it, there might be more reaction. Or am I just cynical? (OK, I am cynical anyway...) Peridon 20:48, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

I've reported the problem on Bug #30281 so that it doesn't get lost, but I think it will be necessary to find out how the developers could reproduce the bug in order to investigate its cause.

Thanks. I've contacted Peridon on his talk page to ask for more information.
