Hi could me make this template in other languages like for example if we type A {{Archived extension|en|889929|extension}} so where en is the English code so it would show the template in English if you put for example ru it would show it in Russian please update this template 109.144.243.29 14:33, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Create subpage with language code (eg. Template:Archived extension/ru) and put into a page --wargo (talk) 14:41, 11 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Is it possible to use Special:Translate here?

Why we still don't migrate it? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 15:54, 12 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Done with [1]. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 05:12, 3 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

I see that @Pppery: reverted my edit saying that it won’t work for pages that aren’t marked for translation. But I tested it on testwiki and I found that with my edit, translate tags don’t show on pages that transclude the template. This is as long as the transclusion box was checked when the template was marked for translation. If the page that transcludes it isn’t marked for translation it shows the translation for the page language. This is a new feature for mw 1.36 in the translate extension. The problem that lead to me reverting has nothing to do with translate tags showing up, but instead is that pages like Extension:MultiUpload/es were showing the template in English instead of Spanish. * Pppery * it has begun 13:53, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Pppery: At least for me, with the way it is currently, on Extension:Contributionseditcount/ja I still see the English version. (Even if I change my interface language) MacFan4000 (talk) 21:10, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
That's because you somehow managed to re-enable the built-in translation support, which overrides the switch statement. I've disabled it again, and now that page shows up in Japanese (regardless of interface language), which is how this is supposed to work. * Pppery * it has begun 21:15, 2 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
