[edit]We have the sentence "For instance, in some countries monuments older than a certain year are not allowed to be photographed.". This should surely be "For instance, in some countries monuments younger than a certain year are not allowed to be photographed.", no? Jon Harald Søby (talk) 12:12, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
"match up"
[edit]This part is not quite clear:
- Uploading later can be convenient [...] when you want to match up monuments with photos taken on a camera.
What exactly is meant by "match up"? --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 13:25, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree; I guess it's about some situation like: when you don't take the photos with your Android phone but with a digital camera.
- I'm absolutely not sure though, it definitely needs clarification! With kind regards — Mar(c). 08:17, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

short version (T:8)
[edit]The part after the "match up" might need some rewriting as well. I asume the four points are meant to be read as "[The app] finds monuments ...", "[The app] uploads from gallery ...", etc., but the second parts of the 2nd and 4th point seem to address the reader: "... or [you can] take a new photo ...", "... and [you can] defer uploads ..." My suggestion:
- In short:
- Finds monuments by country/region/city and by current location
- Uploads photos from gallery and newly taken photos
- Formats photos with required metadata for contest submission
- Shows history of uploads and defers uploads until later to save on data charges
I'd like to leave the decision to a project member and/or native English speaker. With kind regards — Mar(c). 08:17, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
« Can I use a license other than the one offered in the app? »
[edit]I am not sure this part is quite clear. The Commons community is generally okay with letting uploaders fixing obvious licensing errors after upload, but like right away or in the next two days or so. Uploaders should not be led to believe it is okay to change their minds afterwards. Jean-Fred (talk) 18:47, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
« in some countries monuments older than a certain year are not allowed to be photographed »
[edit]Do you not rather mean the opposite ?
Moreover, copyright is generally about the author date of death, not about the monument. Jean-Fred (talk) 18:49, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
