update of font-family on main-page
[edit]Hi MZMcBride, the Main-Page looks a bit peculiar after your update. Was there a special reason for the change, since it also is a font-family different to the font-family on all the other pages of this wiki? Best regards --Marbot 19:41, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- "Lucida Grande" seems to be less common than "Lucida Sans," so I switched it to default to "Lucida Sans." (See also: w:Web-safe fonts.) The other Main Pages should probably be updated as well. Ideally, some sort of template would control all of this. If you really hate the new font, feel free to change it. Cheers. --MZMcBride 22:07, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- Now I understand. Since "Lucida Grande" is not websafe I only saw the default font, I think it is "Arial", instead of "Lucida Grande". This has now changed. I think "Lucida Grande" is not as easily readable. Perhaps we should ask for some more opinions on this? Cheers --Marbot 09:42, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Do you know which font you're seeing? If you don't have 'Lucida Sans', it tries 'Verdana' next. Then it tries the default sans-serif font for your browser. I put some samples below.

Lucida Sans: Lucida Sans font here.
Verdana: Verdana font here.
sans-serif: sans-serif font here.
- For what it's worth, http://wikimedia.org uses the same fonts. So if you find a better solution, we should change the fonts there too. :-) --MZMcBride 16:41, 16 June 2009 (UTC) [fallback to monospace if not installed - Dispenser]
- Now I understand even better. On Main Page I see "Lucida Sans" instead of "Arial" as before, since "Arial" is the standard sans-serif of my Browser. Hauptseite is still on "Arial". However, in comparison "Arial" is much easier to read. What about "Georgia"? :-) --Marbot 18:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Botspam on tswiki
[edit]Hello. While looking at Special:RecentChanges it looks to me some account creations are suspicious and matches the pattern of spambot accounts being created Wikimedia-wide. I though that if an admin could have an eye on it would be good, because those accounts usualy starts spamming some time later since its creation. Regards. Dferg 10:19, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
