The WMF created Wikimedia Jitsi to host virtual meetings with a nice integration of Jitsi and request of code meetings. Instead of fixing its bugs and improving the tool as the default video conferencing software for all Wikimedians, the WMF decides to switch to Zoom (private with many concerns about security in the past).
The WMF also created Wikimedia Etherpad to take meeting notes in a free and accessible environment. Instead of using it, improving it and distributing it, the WMF decides to switch to Google Docs.
Too many GAFAM’s bad habits and lack of corporate responsibility, increasingly visible in each of the institutional actions, meetings and talks. Wordless.
