I like the general approach of reusing the regular figure structure. That lets us & clients reuse a good amount of code.

The spec is not very complete yet. I think it would be good to spell out how each of the options described in the docs will be encoded in HTML. If the rendering modes just map to the CSS class, then I'd also recommend to use the CSS class as the authoritative source for this information, similar to the way we do this with figures. -- Gabriel Wicke (GWicke) (talk) 17:55, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
