Add topicCoverage
[edit]Is there a description of what this project intends to cover? --brion 18:03, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
- I've added some initial detail -- exact user stories will emerge through the product planning process.--Eloquence 06:46, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- +1 thanks! The refs to the already in-progress extensions is helpful in giving an example of the scope. --brion 20:57, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Proposal process
[edit]Is there a process by which a community member/non-team developer/whatever can propose an item for the team's (sprint) schedule? I'm not sure if mingle is still being used ([1] is mostly empty while it used to be quite complete till some months ago) but usually if something is not in a card it's not going to happen. Yet, there are dozens i18n bugs for which a patch has been submitted by a hard-working volunteer but which have seen no reviews for months, sometimes almost a year.[2] It would be useful to have a process for prioritisation of such patches; I'm having a hard time convincing some of those volunteers to submit new commits, or even just new patchsets, when they have some pending for year(s). --Nemo 09:05, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, I am not sure what you mean by the mingle view being empty. Did you mean that the task descriptions are less? For the patches we generally follow the gerrit review requests that show up on the dashboard. Did you have any particular patch from the list that needs to get more eyeballs? Amir and I have started doing more frequent bug triages and would really like to make things move faster for bugs like these. Thanks.--Runa Bhattacharjee (talk) 09:17, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Empty as in not listing all that's being done. Well, the worst offender is IMHO gerrit:72867, but poking about specific patches really doesn't scale. --Nemo 09:32, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- The mingle view is certainly not broken in terms of whats in-progress. Does this view serve better? I agree about the patches, but I suspect in this particular case there are more people involved than single teams that share a common view (like mingle) for prioritising. I will forward this onwards to Catrope and Nikerabbit in case they haven't seen this already. Thanks.--Runa Bhattacharjee (talk) 10:13, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
