Another question is - what are the common tap and screen flow sequences in the app, and what are the tap and screen flow sequences that lead to willfully exit the app? What are the ones that lead to long engagement?

If it's permitted, fully randomized pseudonymous identifiers - per user or at least per app session, but ideally both - might be nice to understand usage, provided it's done with sensitivity to avoid distasteful use of username and source IP that would create a clear linkage of human to behavior violating community norms . But if it isn't, then I guess there's no point. --2620:62:C000:149:A9FE:460E:D4F2:DEBE 18:22, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

That's a good idea, somehow storing app sessions and behavior.

The irony of this being an anonymous edit showing the full IPv6 address is not lost on me. --2620:62:C000:149:A9FE:460E:D4F2:DEBE 18:24, 12 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Yes we are trying to address these IP edit issues: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Mobile_wikitext_editing#Anonymous_mobile_editing

Editing Workflow Questions

[edit]

Here are some general questions I want to answer for us to further develop the workflow. We don't need events for each of these, only events related what we will refine should be prioritized.

  • Hit edit for the lead section and switch sections or click edit on a specific section?
  • Is there significant amount of section switching?
  • Is there significant back and forth between editing and preview or is the flow pretty unilateral?
  • Login CTA comparison - Editing & Left Nav?
  • Drop off Points in the workflow
  • Help hook access frequency
