@Nemo bis: Yes, because it leverages the success of Wikipedia. It doesn't need huge participation in order to be directly of value, since Wikipedia is already successful. It starts by having experts review Wikipedia, and Wikipedians being able to directly process and reuse that review. It brings two communities together, by keeping them separate, but giving them a dedicated communication path. That is a safer starting point to build out the participation of real identities and give better chances for quality to develop inside an expert platform. The expert platform itself can then slowly grow out of that. And those dynamics between authors will work differently this time, ensuring that the original content will be better. Connecting with their other public work and the peer quality of their other public work.
