If a person wishes to have an RfC acted upon at an architecture meeting, how would he go about trying to make that happen? Also, what types of RfCs are most appropriate for discussion at architecture meetings? Leucosticte (talk) 03:09, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'd say the person who wants that RfC discussed should post a note to wikitech-l asking for what they want (feedback on a specific question or idea, a decision on an RfC, and so on). If the wikitech-l discussion doesn't get the decision or feedback you want, then say in the thread that you'd like the topic discussed at an upcoming meeting.
I think any RfC can be usefully discussed at one of these meetings. Happy to hear others' thoughts. Sharihareswara (WMF) (talk) 16:23, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Project:Calendar

[edit]

Is there a reason these meetings are not in the calendar? Or are they in another calendar? --Nemo 09:13, 22 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Good question. I'll start adding them to that calendar. They're listed in meta:IRC office hours but that's not enough. Sharihareswara (WMF) (talk) 16:23, 17 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Logs indexing

[edit]

I note that toollabs:meetbot/ it still just a hack, and the minutes there are hardly indexed at all by search engines. For instance, [1] does not currently find [2]. If WMF cares about this process, people spending time with it should be provided with adequate tools. --Nemo 09:33, 11 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to consolidate tech calendars in Phabricator

This page is no longer updated?

[edit]

It doesn't appear that this page has been updated for a number of years now. There was an RFC meeting today, which was listed in the Google calendar with a link to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Architecture_meetings -- but nothing on this page said anything about the agenda or contents of the meeting. The links to the phab workboards were similarly unhelpful. When I dropped into the meeting, I was told was the subject of discussion was -- but we really need to fix our documentation process or update some outdated links. (I'd do it myself but I still don't know where the "real" agenda for RFC meetings is kept.) cscott (talk) 16:23, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
