2011-04-01
[edit]Site requests that require shell access to the servers are mostly handled by Rob Halsell and a few dedicated volunteers. Priyanka Dhanda is going to join the team and help out where possible.
2011-05-01
[edit]Mark Hershberger organized triage meetings specifically for shell bugs, with Priyanka Dhanda, Rob Halsell and CT Woo. Priyanka and Rob have been moving through the backlog of issues filed there.
2011-06-01
[edit]The backlog of shell bugs was on the agenda for the Berlin hackathon, and the team continued to hold dedicated triage sessions. Priyanka Dhanda also started to work on a process to streamline configuration changes, especially for popular requests.

[edit]Priyanka Dhanda continued to process shell requests, after it appeared that a harmonization of wiki configuration options wouldn't be a significant time saver.

[edit]Sam Reed took over maintenance of shell requests. He added a new "ops" keyword to differentiate between requests that require shell access (which he can process), and other requests that can only be processed by someone with root access ("ops"). As of July 26, there were only 69 remaining shell requests, and that number keeps decreasing.

[edit]Sam Reed continued to go through the backlog of shell requests and to process them. He notably enabled the AbuseFilter extension on all Wikimedia wikis.
