[edit]

Update Project:Village Pump/Header (it displays on Project:Village Pump as an editing board description)

to Project:Village Pump/Header/sandbox.

Reasons:

  • Clearer wording
  • Puts the alternative direction/link to follow if in incorrect place before the archive template.

Can you motivate this better---I'm not observing a meaningful difference, let alone an improvement. You changed "To get help" to "If you need assistance", downcased MediaWiki.org, and changed "site" to "website". That's slightly different, but I don't see how it is significantly more clear. The direction/link also already rendered prior to the archive template; it looks like your change there just ended up adding an extra, (unnecessary) linespace pushing the template down a line. --Clump (talk) 14:08, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
It’s just cleaner, and easier on the reader Waddie96 (talk) 17:52, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but I fail to see how the wording changes are cleaner or easier to read, and the introduction of a pointless newline is not an improvement. Fixing typos, mistakes, expanding on missing or unclear issues, etc., is appreciated, but just revising text to be in your own style is not a benefit. This is especially true on translated pages, where changes may need to be reflected in each of the translated languages. --Clump (talk) 18:53, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
