Requested user-rights: Translation administrator.

I am a MediaWiki.org admin and translation admin in the Wikidata and Meta-Wiki. In my current work needs to translation adminship rights.--Kaganer (talk) 20:38, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like a comment from an existing translation admin before this is done... I'm still unclear about the exact function and potential damage of that group. --Krenair (talk • contribs) 21:39, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm the "existing translation admin" (in other Wikimedia projects) ;) Believe me ;)
This flag allows to manage the translation process was done by Translate Extension. This include:
  1. Mark pages as translatable (through this feature), and remove this mark. This mark leads to the prevent of direct editing for subpages with translated texts.
  2. Approving changes of source pages as need to be update of appropriate translations
  3. Manage of aggregate message group
It's all. This doesn't intersect with the administrator's rights. See more in the Project:Translation_administrators#Translate_extension.
This flag requires translator qualification, experience with making of translations at the Wikimedia projects, and knowledge about the how this extension works.--Kaganer (talk) 11:52, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to confirm Kaganer's statement. Although, I'm not a translation admin here, but also on Wikidata and Meta-Wiki. The permissions here are exactly the same. In my opinion, he can be trusted with the tools. Regards, Vogone talk 23:52, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
