Add topicHow to get this working
[edit]I've added this page to my own wiki and I expected to see new users see this message on their talk pages, but no new talk pages are being created. Is anything else required to get this working? --Robinson Weijman 06:48, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- My mistake, it's shown after account creation, not on a talk page. --Robinson Weijman 06:53, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
No, this isn't working for me on a MW 1.16.2. --Webrockers 11:23, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Works on MW 1.17.1 -- Technical 13 (talk) 16:02, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
- Hi. This is not working for me... It's just login the new user, and back to the last page, no writing this message..--Betmidrash (talk) 19:16, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
Only viewable once
[edit]I have multiple links in a list...
- Please read this Introduction.
- Please configure your user preferences.
- Please fill out your User Page with a brief description of yourself.
- Please send one of our 137 System Operators a message on their talk page to confirm you are not a spambot.
- ...etc...
However, if they do not click to open in a new tab/page, there is no way for them to get back to view the rest of the links.. My questions are:
- What is the name of this page that they can get back to?
- Having the $1 UserName variable filled in is important for the [[User:$1|User Page]] to work.
- Is there anyway I can get this page to automatically populate their talk page?
