I hope someone's active enough on here to answer. As a normal user of another Wiki (Guild Wars Wiki to be specific), is there a way to hide/remove this text just for myself? It's really hard to Google for things like this, but I hope there's an answer somewhere around here. Thanks in advance for the assistance. 76.172.107.173 10:24, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Copyrightwarning vs. Copyrightwarning2

[edit]

Can anyone please clarify the difference between MediaWiki:Copyrightwarning and MediaWiki:Copyrightwarning2 ?

After a fresh install of mediawiki, v.1.19.2, I was trying to edit the copyright notice displayed at the footer of the editing page. Eventually I figured out that there are two identical pages that seem to have the same purpose, namely MediaWiki:Copyrightwarning and MediaWiki:Copyrightwarning2, but changing the first had no effect on my wiki, while changes to the second were reflected on the copyright notice under page editing box.

Where is $2 defined?

[edit]

*
$2
: A link to the wiki page describing the local copyright policy.

Nice. But where is that link defined and from which variable? 94.217.19.63 16:06, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
