Copy URL to description

When a file is uploaded using an external URL the URL should / could be copied in the description (nicely formatted) for later reference.? --Subfader 21:37, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

copyuploaddisabled

Special:Allmessages shows MediaWiki:Copyuploaddisabled as red link, the default {{int:copyuploaddisabled}} is "Upload by URL disabled.". Presumably this should be documented or simply mentioned here. –Be..anyone (talk) 16:40, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
