Manual:Merging a wiki into another wiki
Merging a wiki into another wiki can be accomplished with varying degrees of difficulty depending on which parts of it need to be transferred.
Merging articles
[edit]- In the source wiki, set
$wgExportAllowAll = true. - Use
Special:Exportto export everything from your source wiki to an XML file. - Import the XML file into your target wiki.
Merging media files

[edit]- Download every file individually from your source wiki.
- Upload each of these files individually to your target wiki with a suitable description.
Automatic
[edit]- Write a bot to download all the files and their descriptions from the source wiki, saving the descriptions to a text file.
- Use Manual:ImportImages.php to import files with their descriptions.
