Why does the Help page say "rtgerg"?

Thanks; fixed. --Nemo 22:28, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

How can I change "Watch this page" being on by default for everyone in the edit source page? Antiignoranceresource (talk) 04:25, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hiding bot edits means prior human changes are also hidden

[edit]

This for example means that vandalism and other problematic changes can covertly go through if simply a bot is prompted to edit afterwards. This can be done e.g. by going to https://citations.toolforge.org/ and asking Citation bot to improve some refs of a page. I reported this problem with some more details at phab:T375705 and apparently there is an issue about this since 2007(?!)

On fast-moving WPs / ENWP there are so many changes that it often won't take long until there naturally is some bot edit after a human edit which would hide the former edit(s). On slower-moving WPs the diff-hiding is at least as problematic because because there's far fewer watchers of the page.

I think at least this page should warn users about what effect this option has because this is not clear.

Also if there is a way to view a button to see all unseen changes with one click instead of having to manually go to the History page and selecting the oldest seen revision and the latest one to slowly create a diff of unseen changes, info about this would also be good to add to this page and the WP version of it.
