Hello,
I work on dictionaries of several volumes, sometimes with different categories.
I want to do a random search in several categories.
For example :
"Modèles de mise en page"AND"Modèles pour+dictionnaires"
Do you think this is possible?

It would be nice if I could have a link to this page for a specific category. For example:
RandomInCategory/History
That would just take me to a random page in the history category. As Quiddity also requested, it would be nice if we could also have a NOT descriptor, which would allow users to exempt entire sections. For example: Let's say I want to see random pages in the History category, but I don't want anything sports related. A URL link this would be nice to perform that function:
RandomInCategory/History/Not/Sports
Or something like that. Just a suggestion from a donor.
Would be nice to be able to include this in the sidebar as well!
w:sv: has 2 links in their sidebar for random pages, the second ("-bot") links to a tool that excludes bot-generated articles from the results.
I was wondering if instead we could help solve this problem, by using (or extending) RandomInCategory to work with a NOT parameter?
e.g. Special:RandomInCategory/NOT(foobar)
or something similar.
