Question

[edit]

I have a question about editing. Can someone help me? Newbie (talk) 20:02, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. What would you like to do? Alice (talk) 21:12, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The statistics need to be updated. Newbie (talk) 10:01, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

This page has a bad picture. Can it get a better one? Bob (talk) 20:33, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Have you taken a better picture? Alice (talk) 20:02, 2 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I found a great one on this news website. Bob (talk) 11:02, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, that won't work. Images need to be "free" because of copyright law. Alice (talk) 12:02, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't cost any money, so this should be okay. How do I get it in the article? Bob (talk) 11:23, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not about money. The photographer has to agree to a suitable copyright license. If you want, you can try to find and contact the photographer. You can ask the photographer to release the photo under a free license. Many people use the Wikimedia VRT release generator to figure out how to do this. Then the message needs to be emailed to the Volunteer Response Team volunteers with a link to the photo. Alice (talk) 14:34, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That really sounds like a lot of work. Bob (talk) 20:53, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You know, you can't use that one from the news website, but what do you think about this one on Commons? Example (talk) 23:59, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's better than this one. I'll put that in the article now. Thank you for finding that. Bob (talk) 13:17, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Example (talk) 18:24, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
