This extension has been deprecated by Extension:VEForAll (which is based on it). Is it possible to archive it?
Extension talk:VEForPageForm
I'd wait a bit until PageForms supporting the new extension was officially released.
Done now.
Hi. I'm running
MediaWiki | 1.30.0 (830bb58) |
PHP | 5.6.36 (apache2handler) |
MariaDB | 5.5.56-MariaDB |
ICU | 50.1.2 |
VisualEditor | 0.1.0 (61f161a)13:07, 2 October 2017 |
Page Forms | 4.3 (c35e352)12:50, 14 March 2018 |
and I installed
VEForPageForm | 0.1.0 (76ab247)04:06, 2 January 2018 |
It installed without issue.. there are no errors...
I added the class=form-textarea to form elements of input type=textarea
but no changes were observed from the extension in "edit with form" mode.
It's as if the extension was never installed.
Apparently it is a 1.28.x only extension. However I think Yaron is currently working on a way to make VE integration work with PF.
Roger that. Thanks for the clarification.
Does this extension make it possible to use VE in the Free Text region of a page form?
Yes! It enable VE in the textarea fields created with the Extension:PageForm
When it comes to do "marketing" this extension or to make it findable more easily I would have rather called it "VisualEditorForPageForms". A more consistent naming would have been "VEForPF" but that's not really a nice name. However it should probably include the "s" from the PageForms extension in any way. Just a suggestion in the end.
