I see that the licensing part of the wizard has been updated, it looks nicer. some criticism I want to make is about the experience of having to add licenses to multiple files. I commonly have to upload files from one source but by many authors and currently there's no easy way to do that in the wizard

I would like an option to copy the release information from one file to all others, similarly to the description and Wikidata sections

in addition to that, it would be nice to have a single checkbox to confirm the legality of all the uploaded works when adding release rights to many files individually. JnpoJuwan (talk) 00:15, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Is there a way to make the date field optional for the Upload Wizard? I seem to overlook the respective configuration option or there is none which would be kinda sad.

It is not and cannot be changed via configuration. See the code.

List image filenames for copy into <gallery>

Is it possible to add a link at the bottom of the page (the page that we see after a successful upload of multiple images) that would give us the image filenames in a format we could then just select/copy and paste into a wiki page between <gallery> and </gallery>?

e.g.

Image1.jpg

Image2.jpg

Image3.jpg

How do I modify/change the tutorial section on UploadWizard?

3
Guillaume Taillefer (talkcontribs)

How would I be able to modify the tutorial image that is displayed at the beginning of the upload process? I want to display other instructions/tutorial on Uploading files to my wiki, and plus it says "What can I upload to Wikimedia Commons", which my site is of course not wikimedia commons. Which file and variable(s) do I have to modify that gives the content of the tutorial section (in this case it being the tutorial image)? Thanks

Desbrina1 (talkcontribs)

Is it possible to autofill the date to todays date?

Also, the upload seems to stall if its not the active tab on my browser, is there anyway to complete the upload even when not active

Handle Flickr public domain automatically

DemonDays64 (talkcontribs)

Hi. I love the UploadWizard's Flickr features. However, when I insert a photo from Flickr that is labeled public domain (e.g. try putting this one into it ) to it on Commons the thing doesn't know what to do and I have to manually choose the license unlike with CC type stuff.

Can this be fixed to automatically figure it out?

Is it possible to change the default template?

I have template already set up for my needs, and would like to add it rather than the {{Information}} template? Is that possible?
