About this board

Documenting probably after renaming and making it more consistent?

@Nikerabbit: This can be deleted again if you think that it is not worth the effort. What about transforming "Translatewiki.net Magic" into a "Uilanguage" extension? I would do the documentation. I guess there is a need for this extension's functionality and this one is probably more up to date than the MyVariables implementation of "userlanguagecode".

You are the second person in a short time to ask for it. I am not opposed. It's just a lot (more than a little) non-coding work to first request a Gerrit repository, copying code, setting up continous integration, requesting phab board... did I forget something.

This is indeed true. Another option would be to use the MyVariables extension where everything is already set up and which I am currently using for this purpose. This one however comes with a set of other variables you will most probably not like to put effort into, not speaking of modernizing it. Also "UILANGCODE" will have to be added as an alias for "USERLANGUAGECODE". In the end you decide how to move forward here.

In general I see a tendency to implement multi-language wikis within one instance instead of creating multiple language wikis. Thus the need for such a variable is indeed increasing. Moreover you can now do a lot of cool things in connection with SMW.
