Extension talk:Semantic Result Formats/exhibit format
Add topicANy info on getting sizekey attribute working like colorkey=property does? dynamic sizing of map bubbles by a property's number value would be quite good!
Include images in exhibit?
[edit]I would like to include images in my exhibit, just like in the beer example. Even better, I would like to be able to make an exhibit of images, with the images automatically showing. Yup, I know I can do this with a gallery, but I like the more advantages options of exhibit so would like to use that. --FrankLeone 08:54, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- If you see the Beers example you'll notice that they're doing it using a Template (the option lens in the query). --
So, is there no way to get the images to show up in the "Table" format? The exhibit code currently strips out the img tag, replacing it with the text of the URL. --donundeen 10:20, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Does not work with IE 6 and 7
[edit]It should be noted that the Exhibit format does not work at all with IE 6 and IE7. You get operation aborted errors.
There is currently no fix for this.
Unfortunately a lot of large companies and Government Agencies do not automatically upgrade to the latest version of IE, so this is a major problem.

Sometimes works with IE6?
[edit]Most if not all of the links work here: [1] in IE6, but my test on a dev server showed the "Operation aborted" message on IE6. Something in the Drupal community that is a problem is a high number of js and link includes. Perhaps that is the problem, as this extension adds a number of JS files hotlinked to SIMILE's site. (Btw, SIMILE seems to want people hotlinking) --rmckeel 13:46, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
Not working with Semantic Forms (queries)
[edit]I'm trying to do a Semantic Form querying data as explained in Extension:Semantic Forms#Querying data
The thing is I'm getting this done (like here: http://sharewiki.locolandia.net/wiki/Special:RunQuery/Buscador2 ), but when I try to do a format=exhibit it dont get anything ( http://sharewiki.locolandia.net/wiki/Special:RunQuery/Buscador ).
The thing is that it works with format=debug (if I execute the SQL I get the values right), also with format=broadtable (I see results), but when format=exhibit, I get nothing.
Also, format=exhibit is working fine when I try it in a no-query:
http://sharewiki.locolandia.net/wiki/Buscador
So, any idea?
extending exhibit views
[edit]I'd like to extend this so I can add some new views to the Semantic Result Formats exhibit format, but I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to get started. Does anyone have any tips or know of some good tutorials I could look at? Thanks! --Klh5u 22:15, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
SRF 1.5.2 exhibit views=map
[edit]Following query works with Semantic Result Formats (Version 1.5.0) but not with Semantic Result Formats (Version 1.5.2 alpha) {{#ask:Coordinates::+ |?Coordinates | mainlabel=Name |format=exhibit |views=map }}
Is a reason for that or is a bug? --Solab 22:15, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Semantic Result Formats exhibit
[edit]With following extension is the rendering with format= exhibit, views = map not working anymore
Is there a reason for that ?
Mediawiki 1.17
Semantic Forms (Version 2.2) (r92541)
Semantic Maps (Version 1.0.1 alpha) (r92632)
Semantic MediaWiki (Version 1.6 RC1) (r92547)
Semantic Result Formats (Version 1.6 rc1)
Maps 1..
Cheers Solab
- Yes - the 'exhibit' format has not been updated in a while, and it appears to no longer work with the latest versions of MW and SMW. I'm hoping that someone will volunteer to get it fully working again, because it's a very useful format, in theory. Yaron Koren 12:56, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
Bugs using Exhibit
[edit]I made some tests of using Exhibit (with MW 1.16.2 and SemanticBundle v20110824 --> SRF v 1.6.1) and encountered both following issues:
- When there are a lot of results from a query, it displays only the max authorized number of lines per page (50 by default) but no link to next results (as format=table does with the "⌠further results" link) . Moreover, the facet query only takes into account the (50) displayed results, and not the complete list of results.
- When I tried to create more than one exhibit query per page (I tried 2), the variables from both queries were all mixed up and none of the query results was correctly displayed
Are they known bugs? Could they be due to my installed versions combination?
Thanks for your help. Magdan 2 November 2011
