IP to users

I see a lot of IPs begging their edits be transferred to a username. Is that possible? Thanks! Jeffw • (talk)‎ 01:25, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

As I wrote in the description: You can reassign edits from a non-existent user to an existent user or from IP address to existent user. Sure, its possible. SVG 07:46, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

I found that checking out the branch REL1_34 worked in 1.23 (REL1_35+ requires 1.29+), however for IPv6 addresses you must use the capitalized form of the IP address, e.g. from the subtitle of their contributions page.

I also got Notice: Undefined index: updateloggingtitle in ReassignEdits/ReassignEdits_body.php on line 266, which may either be a slight version incompatibility or just an oversight. GreenReaper (talk) 17:34, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
